Texas Animals

Howdy All,
We are studying animals in Texas. We have learned that our state mammal is the armadillo and the state bird is the mockingbird. Next week we will learn what the state amphibian and the state reptile are. If you think you know what they are leave us a message and we will let know if you are correct. We are also learning the charactistics of these animals. We can name the differences between a mammal and a bird, can you? Send us a message if you think you can and we will let you know if your right. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi,

Texas does not have an "official" state amphibian despite several efforts to get one approved. The state reptile is the horny toad.

Mammals give birth live, and birds give birth through eggs.

Gee...I hope I get them right.
